What you can buy in Australia today

Unitree's humanoids are the only ones an Australian can order and have delivered. Resellers such as 3D Printer Superstore and Pakronics list the R1 at A$13,189–A$15,400 and the G1 at A$42,835, both including GST. They walk, balance and can be programmed. They won't fold washing or load a dishwasher out of the box. Buy one if you want to learn robotics or teach it, not to save time at home.

The home humanoids, and when they might get here

1X NEO is the most advanced home humanoid you can pre-order. It costs US$20,000, or US$499 a month on subscription. 1X says it can open doors, fetch items and turn off lights, and it learns new tasks through updates. 1X lists US deliveries in 2026 and other markets from 2027.
Figure 03 is working in commercial pilots. Figure's CEO said in May 2026 it would soon be leased for homes at around US$600 a month, but there's no Australian plan.
Tesla Optimus is only used inside Tesla's own factories. Tesla hasn't announced a price or an order page.

Humanoids already working in Australia

The first Australians to live alongside humanoids are aged care residents. Melbourne startup Andromeda has 22 of its Abi companion robots in mecwacare's Victorian homes, where they sing, tell stories and chat in up to 90 languages (The Weekly Source). Chinese maker AgiBot launched in Australia in July 2026 with a robot-as-a-service offer for mining, cleaning and education, with machines reported at $40,000–$50,000 (ABC News).

Before you pay a deposit

Ask who's in control. Some home robots hand tricky tasks to a remote human operator, who may then see inside your home. Find out when that happens and what's recorded.
Check the deposit terms. Only pay a deposit that's fully refundable if delivery slips or the robot never ships to Australia.
Count the real price. A US$ price excludes shipping, 10% GST and possible import costs. Subscriptions add up over three years.
Find local support. Who repairs it in Australia? A robot with no local service agent is a big risk at this price.
Check the plug and the rules. It needs 240V charging, and your home and contents insurance should know it's there.
