What you get, and give up, under $2,000
- Under $1,000: a wire. The only robot mower we found at $1,000 or less from an established brand is the wired Husqvarna Aspire R4 ($999). You lay a boundary wire and get no obstacle sensors, but it doesn't care about shade or satellites.
- $1,000 to $1,500: the sweet spot. This is where wire-free mowers start, and where the sales are: the eufy C15 (cameras, $1,359 on sale at Amazon AU) and the ECOVACS Goat O600 (RTK, $1,119 on Amazon AU), both rated for 500 to 600 m², which covers most suburban backyards. The LiDAR MOVA 600 sat here at $1,099 on sale, but that stock has sold out and it was $1,699 on 21 October 2026.
- $1,500 to $2,000: more lawn or a longer track record. Spend more for a bigger rated area (the Roborock RockNeo Q110 covers 1,000 m²) or a brand with years of reviews and a three-year warranty (the Segway Navimow i105). You don't get a big jump in features.
- What you give up. No all-wheel drive (the cheapest we found is the Navimow i206 AWD at $2,399), slope ratings top out at 45%, and none of the picks lists built-in 4G; the i105 offers a $199 add-on module. Cutting height is set by hand on most of them, and the eufy C15 won't mow in low light.
- Pick the navigation for your yard, not the price. RTK (Goat O600, Q110, i105) needs open sky; cameras (C15) need daylight; LiDAR (MOVA 600) works under trees and in the dark; wire works anywhere but takes hours to lay. Our RTK vs vision vs LiDAR guide explains the trade-offs.
- Budget for blades and check the warranty. Robot mower blades are consumables, and warranties exclude them (Roborock says so explicitly). Husqvarna's blades start at $35 a set at Husqvarna AU. Warranties range from up to 3 years (MOVA, Segway) down to the 1-year general warranty on Ecovacs AU's support page.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply on top of any warranty. Husqvarna says its disc blades typically last 3–6 weeks; see our spring start-up guide for when to swap them.
Also under $2,000 but not picked: the MOVA 1000 ($1,999, LiDAR, 1,000 m²) was sold out at MOVA AU; the Mammotion YUKA mini (from $1,499) was out of stock at Mammotion AU; the MOVA ViAX 500 ($1,699 sale, RRP $1,799) costs more than the MOVA 600 for a smaller rated lawn; and the Roborock RockMow S108 ($1,999 RRP at launch, 800 m²) is sold through specialist dealers. eufy AU's range page showed the E15 (built-in 4G, 800 m²) at $1,999.95, but its product page showed $2,499, so check the cart price. How we researched this
We listed every robot mower we could find on sale in Australia at or under $2,000 on 16 October 2026 at MOVA AU, eufy AU, Ecovacs AU, Mammotion AU, Navimow AU, Husqvarna AU and Essendon Mowers, plus Roborock's Australian launch pricing (EFTM, August 2026). We dropped models that were sold out or out of stock, then compared rated lawn area, navigation, slope rating, cutting height, warranty and blade costs. We couldn't load Amazon AU or Bunnings on our check date, so prices from those retailers are flagged. We read independent reviews where they exist and note where none do. We haven't tested these mowers ourselves.
