eufy C15 review: a simple camera-guided mower for small, flat lawns
The C15 is eufy's cheapest robot mower in Australia: a wire-free, camera-guided model for lawns up to 500 m², with no RTK antenna to place. We haven't used it ourselves. This review pulls together eufy's official specs, the Australian price and warranty, and what independent testers in the UK and Germany found. Price checked 16 October 2026.

Quick answer
Good buy for a small, flat, clearly bordered lawn, especially one under trees or beside a two-storey house. It's $1,359.20 on sale at eufy AU (was $1,699; $1,699 on Amazon AU, both checked 16 October 2026), sets up in under an hour according to testers, and its obstacle detection was the standout in every review we read. The trade-offs: it leaves an unmown strip of roughly 5–20 cm along raised edges, it can't mow in the dark, cutting height is set by hand, and 18° is its slope limit. If your lawn is bumpy, steep or over about 400 m², look at a LiDAR mower instead.

The C15 sits well below eufy's other mowers here: the E15 is $2,499 and the E18 $2,999.95 at eufy AU on the same day. In Europe it sells with or without a garage (shelter); eufy AU's listing doesn't say whether one is in the box, while the Amazon AU listing title says 'with Garage'. Confirm before you buy if you want it covered.
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
- Buy it if your lawn is under about 400 m², fairly flat and even, bordered by fences, paths or garden beds, and shaded by trees or tall walls that would upset an RTK (satellite) mower.
- Buy it if you want the simplest possible setup: no boundary wire, no antenna, and automatic mapping.
- Skip it if your lawn is bumpy, slopes more than 18°, or runs into open ground with no clear edge. Notebookcheck says the lawn should be enclosed on all sides.
- Skip it if you want night mowing, app-controlled cutting height, or a mower that trims right up to raised edges.
- Skip it if your Wi-Fi doesn't reach the yard. Setup needs Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (Expert Reviews, Basic Tutorials).

From eufy AU and eufy UK product pages and eufy's Australia & New Zealand warranty page, checked 16 October 2026. eufy doesn't publish cutting width, battery or weight on its AU page. Testers report an 18 cm cutting width (Notebookcheck, Basic Tutorials), a 24 V 4.2 Ah battery and about 11 kg (Expert Reviews), and Notebookcheck lists dimensions of 60 × 38.5 × 29 cm.
Design and setup
It's a compact, single-disc mower with two large treaded rear wheels, a strip of battery LEDs and five buttons rather than a screen. eufy says it's ready to mow in five minutes. Testers' times were longer but still short: Basic Tutorials put total setup at 30–45 minutes, and Notebookcheck's automatic mapping of a roughly 250 m² garden took about 50 minutes. Expert Reviews had the borders identified correctly on the first attempt.
Two quirks to know. Mapping is automatic only: Notebookcheck says there's no option to drive the boundary by hand, so you exclude areas with no-go zones afterwards, and mapping only part of a lawn is awkward. And eufy asks for grass under 8 cm before the first run, so an overgrown spring lawn needs a conventional mow first.
Navigation
The C15 steers using two AI cameras (Notebookcheck), so it doesn't need a clear view of the sky the way RTK mowers do. That's the main reason to choose it for a shaded suburban yard; our RTK vs vision vs LiDAR guide explains the trade-offs. The flip side is light: it won't mow at night, and it returns to base in low light.
It mows in long, straight parallel runs with three-point turns. Expert Reviews noticed the main mowing direction follows the base station's orientation, so a dock set at an angle meant diagonal runs and more turning; the app lets you change direction. Basic Tutorials had it pass through gaps as narrow as 60 cm.
Mowing performance: what testers found
Obstacles: the strongest point. Expert Reviews called avoidance excellent and didn't need any no-mow zones. Notebookcheck's hedgehog dummy, garden hose and tennis ball were all detected, and Basic Tutorials' pot, ball and coffee cup too. NationalWorld was a little less impressed: it sometimes gave large obstacles a wide berth and missed a few small ones.
Cut and coverage: Expert Reviews rated the cut very good on an evenly mown lawn, and Basic Tutorials found it even, with stripes. Coverage is slow because the deck is small. Notebookcheck's C15 mowed about 250 m² in just over three hours on one charge (beating eufy's 200 m² claim), then took just under two hours to recharge. Basic Tutorials managed about 100 m² in just under an hour.
Edges: the main weakness. Notebookcheck measured an unmown strip of 10–20 cm where the lawn met raised or uneven edges; Expert Reviews saw 5–10 cm, with a clump left around a washing-line pole. eufy itself says it may not reach grass within 10 cm of walls. Budget for a line trimmer.
Rough ground and long grass: Expert Reviews found it moved erratically through tall dandelions and ran out of battery before finishing, slipped on dry grass near a rabbit hole, and once stopped with a false 'lifted' alert on a sun-baked patch. Notebookcheck's mower drove off a stone edge with a 10 cm drop, leaving the map by a few centimetres. Both suggest the C15 is happiest on a smooth, regularly cut lawn.
The app
The C15 runs on the main eufy app, alongside eufy cameras and vacuums. Testers list multiple zones with separate schedules, no-go zones and virtual walls, mowing direction, track spacing, edge distance, a live camera view and anti-theft settings. Expert Reviews found it easy but needed more firmware updates than expected; Notebookcheck called the live view rudimentary and noted that edge overshoot (−15 to +15 cm) applies to a whole zone, not individual edges. The rain sensor is adjustable: NationalWorld liked that, while Basic Tutorials had to tune it after the mower kept cutting in light rain. Cutting height can't be changed from the app.
Maintenance, blades and running costs
The C15 uses three small pivoting razor blades on one disc. Notebookcheck says 3 fitted plus 9 spares come in the box. eufy's UK store says to replace blades every 240 hours and sells a 27-blade set (three sets of nine blades and screws) that fits the E15, E18 and C15. We couldn't find that set listed on eufy AU; The Good Guys lists an E15 27-pack (T290X041) but doesn't state C15 compatibility, so check the part number before you order. Keep stones over 2 cm, sticks and toys off the lawn (eufy AU support).
Power use is low. Notebookcheck measured about 100 Wh per recharge and around 2 W on standby. Our best robot lawn mowers guide covers general blade budgeting, so we won't repeat it.
Warranty and support in Australia
eufy gives robot mowers a 24-month limited warranty in Australia, covering the mower, base station, power adapter and battery pack (eufy's Australia & New Zealand warranty page). Claims go back through the retailer you bought from, with proof of purchase, and on to Directed Electronics Australia; eufy says you pay to send the product. Support is via support.au.eufy.com, email and 24/7 live chat; the warranty page lists no Australian phone number. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of the warranty, so a major fault after two years can still be raised with the seller.
Privacy and security
The C15 navigates by camera and streams a live view to the app, so it sees your yard, and sometimes your neighbours'. eufy has form here: in January 2023 Anker admitted that eufy security cameras did not offer native end-to-end encryption as advertised, and promised to fix it (MacRumors). We found no reports of issues with eufy's mowers. Use a strong, unique password and two-factor login on your eufy account, and point the dock away from windows you'd rather it didn't film. Our robot camera privacy guide has more general advice.

Earlier prices are from our own checks on the dates shown. If your yard is shaded, stick with camera or LiDAR mowers; if it's open sky and you want the lowest price, the Goat O600 RTK covers more lawn for less. For steeper or bigger blocks, see Mammotion vs Segway Navimow.
Where to buy
eufy's own Australian store had it at $1,359.20 on sale (was $1,699) on 16 October 2026. Amazon AU had it at $1,699, in stock, and its listing title says a garage is included; check whether it's sold by eufy or a third party before you buy. We didn't find it at Bunnings, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman or Officeworks.
Verdict
Testers in the UK and Germany agree the C15 is easy to set up, quiet and very good at avoiding obstacles, and NationalWorld called it 'one of the most impressive sub £1,000 mowers out there'. Its limits are just as consistent: weak edging, no night mowing, and trouble on rough or overgrown ground. For a flat, tidy, fenced suburban lawn under trees, it's one of the simplest wire-free mowers you can buy in Australia, at $1,359.20 on sale or $1,699 full price. For slopes, big blocks or open lawns, other mowers on our best robot lawn mowers list fit better. We haven't found an Australian hands-on review yet and will update this page when one appears.
