eufy vs Segway Navimow: which wire-free robot mower suits your yard?

eufy and Segway Navimow are two of the most popular wire-free robot mower brands in Australia, and they take opposite approaches: eufy's mowers find their way with cameras alone, while Navimow's use satellite RTK positioning backed up by cameras. That difference decides which works in your yard. We haven't used either; this comparison draws on both brands' Australian specs and prices, and independent reviews. Prices checked 22 October 2026.

Quick answer

Choose Navimow for buffalo lawns, slopes, mowing after dark or a three-year warranty; choose eufy for a quick, no-antenna setup on a flat, open lawn of non-buffalo grass. eufy's C15 ($1,359.20 on sale), E15 ($1,999 on sale) and E18 ($2,699.95 on sale) need no wire, antenna or base station, and testers found setup very easy. But eufy says its E15 isn't suitable for St Augustine grass, which is what Australians call buffalo, rates its mowers for about 18° slopes, and camera navigation can't mow in the dark. Navimow's i105 ($1,799), i108A ($2,199) and i206 AWD ($2,399) need an RTK antenna with open sky, but handle 30–45% slopes, mow at night and carry a three-year mower warranty. For bigger blocks Navimow's X3 series runs to 10,000 m²; eufy tops out at 1,200 m².

Navigation: cameras only vs RTK plus cameras

eufy uses what it calls pure vision: cameras and 3D perception map the lawn and steer the mower, with no boundary wire, RTK antenna or base station. That makes setup quick and means tall trees and two-storey houses don't block a signal. The trade-offs, which eufy acknowledges, are that lighting, shadows, overgrown grass and unclear edges can affect it, and it can't mow at night (TechRadar).

Navimow steers by RTK satellite positioning, which needs an antenna with a clear view of the sky (Navimow says more than 110° of open sky, at least 2 m from walls and dense trees), and uses its VisionFence camera to spot obstacles and help where satellite signal drops. The i2 AWD models use network RTK where it's available, though an antenna and mount are still in the box, and Navimow checks coverage by postcode. We couldn't confirm Navimow's network RTK coverage in Australia, so plan on using the antenna. Our RTK vs vision vs LiDAR guide explains which yards suit which.

Buffalo lawns and slopes: the Australian catch

eufy's Australian E15 page says the mower isn't suitable for St Augustine or dense zoysia grass. St Augustine (Stenotaphrum secundatum) is the grass Australians call buffalo, which includes popular varieties such as Sir Walter. If your lawn is buffalo, that rules out the E15 on eufy's own advice. eufy doesn't publish the same warning on its C15 or E18 pages, but it lists a grass-height limit of 9 cm for the E15 and we'd ask eufy before buying either for a buffalo lawn. Navimow doesn't publish a grass-type restriction. Our buffalo, couch and kikuyu guide covers cutting heights by grass.

On slopes, eufy's Australian pages rate its mowers to 18° (about 32%), and support advises against steeper ground. Navimow's i105 and i108A are rated to 30% (about 17°), similar in practice, but the all-wheel-drive i206 and i210 handle 45% and the X3 series 50%. PCWorld found its E18 underpowered on slopes and its X350 prone to sliding when driving across a slope. For steep blocks, see our best robot mowers for slopes.

What testers found

eufy. TechRadar (June 2025) highly recommended the E15, scoring it 5/5 for performance, with very easy setup and good obstacle avoidance, but noted it can't mow at night and may miss small obstacles. Tom's Guide (March 2026) was cooler: it repeatedly drove into a marked hole, slipped on damp grass, skipped areas while mapping and didn't cut edges. PCWorld (August 2025) found the E18 easy to set up in under 30 minutes and an even cutter for smaller, flatter yards. Expert Reviews (UK, July 2026) called the C15 spectacularly easy to use but found it struggled on bumpy lawns. Our eufy C15 review has more.

Navimow. Expert Reviews (UK, June 2024) gave the i105E a Best Buy for its neat, parallel stripes, noting it needs a clear view of the sky. TechRadar (August 2025) rated the X350 highly for speed and accuracy, including under trees; PCWorld (July 2025) praised its navigation day and night but found it unpredictable on slopes and noted it has no onboard rain sensor. CHOICE's Australian robot mower test includes two older Navimow models (H800 and i105E) and no eufy mowers; its results are for members. See our Navimow i108A review for the i-series in detail.

Theft protection and 4G

eufy's E15 and E18 have GPS and 4G built in, and eufy says the mower raises an alert and locks if it leaves its work area; eufy recommends a 4G data plan if Wi-Fi doesn't cover the whole yard. The C15 needs an add-on 4G module, and we couldn't find its Australian price. Navimow's i105 and i108A have a PIN, lift alarm and siren, but GPS tracking and out-of-boundary alerts need the $199 Access+ 4G module; the i2 AWD has 4G built in with a year of data, and the X3 series includes 4G. Neither brand lists Australian data renewal prices on the pages we checked. Our robot mower theft guide covers what each feature does.

Which should you buy?

  • Flat, open lawn of couch, kikuyu or zoysia under 800 m², and you hate fiddly setup: eufy. The C15 on sale at $1,359.20 is the cheapest way in; the E15 at $1,999 adds built-in 4G.
  • Buffalo lawn: Navimow, unless eufy confirms in writing that your model suits it.
  • Slopes over about 18°: Navimow's i206 AWD ($2,399) or i210 AWD ($2,599).
  • Lots of tall trees or a narrow side yard with little sky: eufy's cameras don't need satellites, but check our mowers for trees and shade for LiDAR options too.
  • Large block over 1,200 m²: Navimow's X3 series; see best mowers for large blocks.

Common questions

Is eufy or Segway Navimow better?

It depends on the yard. eufy's camera-only mowers are easier to set up and don't need open sky, but suit flat lawns and can't mow at night. Navimow's RTK mowers handle steeper slopes, bigger lawns and night mowing, and have a three-year warranty.

Can eufy robot mowers cut buffalo grass?

eufy's Australian E15 page says it isn't suitable for St Augustine grass, which is the species Australians call buffalo. Ask eufy before buying any model for a buffalo lawn.

Do eufy robot mowers need an RTK antenna?

No. eufy's C15, E15 and E18 navigate with cameras only, with no wire, antenna or base station.

Which is cheaper in Australia?

eufy's C15 was $1,359.20 on sale at eufy AU on 22 October 2026, cheaper than Navimow's cheapest model, the i105 at $1,799. On Amazon AU the Navimow i108A was $2,004.

What warranty do eufy and Navimow give in Australia?

eufy gives 2 years. Navimow gives 3 years on its i-series and X-series mowers, with 2 years on the battery.
