Segway Navimow i108A review: the bigger i-series for 800 m² flat lawns
The Navimow i108A is the larger sibling of the i105, one of the best-reviewed wire-free mowers sold in Australia. It covers up to 800 m² with the same RTK-plus-camera system. We haven't used it ourselves; this review uses Segway's Australian specs, local prices and independent tests of the i-series. Prices checked 20 October 2026.

Quick answer
The i108A is a good buy for a fairly flat, open suburban lawn of 500–800 m². It's $2,199 on sale at Segway AU (RRP $2,498) and Essendon Mowers, and uses an RTK antenna plus a camera to mow neat parallel lines without a boundary wire. Testers rate the i-series app and setup among the best. The limits: a 30% (17°) slope rating, a 1 m minimum passage width, a manual cutting-height dial, and 4G anti-theft tracking only with a $199 add-on. For bumpy or sloping yards, the all-wheel-drive Navimow i206 AWD ($2,399) is the better fit; for under 500 m², the i105 at $1,799 does the same job for less.

Checked 20 October 2026. The Australian model code is i108A; i108E is the UK and European version. We didn't find it on Amazon AU. Bunnings' Marketplace listing title says 500 m², but its description and Segway's own page say 800 m².
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
- Buy it if your lawn is 500–800 m², mostly flat, and has a reasonably clear view of the sky for the antenna.
- Buy it if you want tidy stripes and a polished app; reviewers consistently praise both on the i-series.
- Skip it if any part of your lawn is steeper than about 17°, or bumpy and soft: the front-wheel-drive i108A can lose grip.
- Skip it if your only side access is narrower than 1 m, or the lawn is shaded by big trees and a two-storey house (see mowers for trees and shade).

From Segway AU's product page, checked 20 October 2026. Segway's page lists both IP66 and IPX6, and weights of 10.9 kg and about 11.4 kg. JB Hi-Fi's listing gives a 2-year warranty; Segway AU and Navimow AU's warranty policy say 3 years on the i108A, with batteries covered for 2 years.
Navigation and setup
The i108A works out where it is from satellites, corrected by an RTK antenna you mount on a pole in the yard, and uses its front camera to spot obstacles and the lawn edge. You map the boundary by driving it around the edge in the app. Unlike the newer i2 AWD models, Segway AU doesn't list network RTK for the i108A, so plan where the antenna goes: it needs open sky and power, and a 10 m extension cable is sold separately.
Expert Reviews (UK, i105E, June 2024) found the perimeter drive a little finicky and left about 10 cm uncut at edges, but praised the parallel pattern that varies direction each time. The Robot Mower UK (February 2026, i105E and i108E) scored the pair 3.9/5, calling the app one of the best and setup easy, and noted the RTK station must have open sky.
Mowing: what testers found
The Robot Mower UK found the i-series mowed consistently on lawns within its limits, with simple blade changes. Its criticisms: the manual cutting-height dial is fiddly and, it says, accounts for most of the warranty claims it sees, and it recommends the i206 AWD for uneven or damp lawns. Top Ten Reviews (i105N, May 2024) rated navigation, noise and the app highly but noted the charging station needs very flat ground.
Consumer NZ has ranked the smaller i105 top of its robot-mower tests in 2025 and 2026, according to Segway NZ; we couldn't confirm the scores on Consumer NZ's site. The i108A wasn't tested. In CHOICE's Australian test, the i105E is shown as Recommended.
App, 4G and anti-theft
The Navimow app handles maps, up to 12 zones, schedules and cutting direction, and works with Alexa and Google Home. Out of the box, the i108A has a lift alarm and PIN. GPS tracking and out-of-boundary alarms need the Access+ 4G module ($199 at Segway AU); Segway AU also lists a Connect+ cellular plan at $49.90 a year. Basic mowing doesn't need a subscription.
Blades and running costs
Segway AU sells a pack of 12 blades with screws for $49, and Navimow suggests replacing blades every 2–3 months depending on use. Spare blades are included in the box (retailers list 9 to 12). That's around $50–$100 a year in blades, plus $49.90 a year if you add 4G.
Alternatives worth comparing
| Mower | Navigation | Rated lawn | Max slope | Price (AUD, 20 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Segway Navimow i105 | RTK + camera | 500 m² | 30% | $1,799 (Segway AU) |
| Segway Navimow i206 AWD | Network RTK + camera, AWD, built-in 4G | 500–600 m² | 45% (24°) | $2,399 sale (Segway AU) |
| Segway Navimow i210 AWD | Network RTK + camera, AWD, built-in 4G | 1,000 m² | 45% | $2,599 (Navimow AU) |
| eufy E15 | Cameras only | 800 m² | 18° | $2,499 (eufy AU, sold out) |
| ECOVACS Goat O600 RTK | RTK + camera | 600 m² | 45% | $1,119 Care Kit (Amazon AU) |
Navimow AU lists the i206 AWD at 500 m²; Segway's product page says 600 m². For only $200 more than the i108A, the i206 AWD adds all-wheel drive, a steeper slope rating and built-in 4G, but covers less lawn. Where to buy
On 20 October 2026, Segway AU and Essendon Mowers both had it at $2,199. Segway AU's offer includes a free mower garage.
Verdict
The i108A brings the well-reviewed i-series formula to bigger lawns: wire-free, neat parallel mowing and a good app, with a three-year mower warranty. It's the right choice for a flat, open 500–800 m² lawn. If your yard slopes, is bumpy, or you want anti-theft tracking included, spend $200 more on the i206 AWD; if it's under 500 m², save $400 with the i105.
