IFA 2026 robot vacuums: what's coming to Australia

Roller mops, extending arms and steam were the big robot vacuum themes at IFA in Berlin this month. Here's which launches have an Australian price and date, and which ones you can't buy here yet. Last checked 30 September 2026.

Quick answer

Three IFA 2026 robot vacuums have confirmed Australian prices: the Ecovacs Deebot X12S OmniCyclone (RRP $2,999, on sale since 17 September), the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro (RRP $2,799, on Amazon AU now) and the Roborock Saros 20 Flow (RRP $2,799, from 1 October). Dreame's X60 Ultra Extreme and Aqua20 steam robot and Narwal's Freo 20 are confirmed or teased for Australia without prices. Roborock's stair-climbing Saros Rover isn't confirmed here.

The three you can buy (or pre-order) now

Ecovacs Deebot X12S OmniCyclone ($2,999 RRP). The successor to the X11 OmniCyclone keeps the bagless cyclone dock, so there are no dust bags to buy, and moves to a 27 cm OZMO Roller 3.0 mop that Ecovacs says is 50% longer than before. Suction rises to 27,000 Pa. It went on sale on 17 September through Ecovacs' Australian retailers. The US price is US$1,299.99, so Australians are paying a lot more.

Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro ($2,799 RRP). A 7.95 cm-tall all-rounder with 36,000 Pa suction, warm-water mopping and Roborock's AdaptiLift chassis. OzBargain users flagged it at $1,699 on Amazon AU, sold by Roborock, during Prime Big Deal Days (listed as ending 5 October). We couldn't see that price on the listing when we checked, so treat it as a deal to confirm, not a guarantee.

Roborock Saros 20 Flow ($2,799 RRP). Not a replacement for the Saros 20, but a roller-mop version of it: the two spinning pads become a 270 mm SpiraFlow 2.0 roller, and the body grows about 1 cm to 8.98 cm. EFTM reports it goes on sale on 1 October from Roborock and selected retailers. The original Saros 20 was $1,999 at the Roborock Store ANZ on our check date, $800 less.

Three trends from IFA 2026

Roller mops are now the flagship default. Roborock (SpiraFlow 2.0), Ecovacs (OZMO Roller 3.0), Narwal (FlowWash), eufy (HydroJet 2.0) and Dreame (Aqua20) all showed self-washing roller or track mops instead of two spinning pads. If mopping matters most, it may be worth waiting for these to reach Australian shelves.
Arms that reach, not arms that grab. Dreame's X60 Ultra Extreme extends its side brush up to 12 cm and its mop up to 18 cm into corners and under kickboards. Robots that pick things up, such as Dreame's Cyber10 Ultra concept, are still experimental and weren't announced for sale here.
Steam arrives on robots. Dreame's Aqua20 sprays 180 °C steam before it mops. Most of the other steam launches at IFA were wet-dry stick vacuums, such as Roborock's F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 ($1,599, October).

Should you wait or buy now?

If you need a robot now, last year's flagships are the value play: the Dreame X50 Ultra was $1,279 on Amazon AU against a $2,999 RRP, and the Roborock Saros 20 was $1,999 at Roborock's store. If you want a roller mop and don't mind paying close to full price, the Saros 20 Flow and X12S are the ones to watch. Black Friday (late November) is the next big sale period, and new models rarely get deep discounts in their first months.

Why are Australian prices so much higher than US prices?

We can't give a definitive answer. As one example, the Saros 20 Flow is US$1,699.99 against A$2,799, and the X12S is US$1,299.99 against A$2,999. Australian RRPs include GST, and sale prices often close part of the gap within a few months.
