Ecovacs Deebot N50 Omni

Best for: Mostly hard floors on a mid-range budget

Hot-water washing, heated drying and an extending mop for under $800. It launched in Australia in October 2025 at $2,199 RRP as a JB Hi-Fi exclusive, and the check-date price was well below that.

Tiles, timber and rugs: what to check

  • Roller or spinning pads? Rollers (Ecovacs OZMO Roller, MOVA, eufy HydroJet) rinse as they go and suit big open-plan hard floors. Spinning pads are more common, can swing out to edges and, on some robots, detach before carpet.
  • Mop lift height. Most docks lift the mop 7–12 mm on carpet, enough for low-pile rugs. For thick rugs, choose a robot that detaches its pads or set no-mop zones.
  • Timber and floating floors. Use the lowest water setting and follow your flooring manufacturer's care instructions. Avoid unsealed or water-sensitive floors.
  • Hot wash and heated drying. Hot-water washing (45–100 °C across these picks) and heated drying help stop the damp-mop smell in humid summers.
  • Tanks, not taps. Every pick here uses refillable clean and dirty water tanks in the dock, so budget a few minutes a week for refilling and emptying.
